Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to review and use recognised conservation principles and practice to conserve heritage leadlight and stained glass through preservation, restoration or reconstruction under the principles determined by the Australia International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) Burra Charter. It includes the requirement to update condition reports on the conserved panel.This unit applies to individuals working with designed glass.Licensing, legislative or certification requirements may apply to this unit and relevant state/territory and local government agencies should be consulted to determine any necessary certification or licensing for undertaking glass and glazing work. Access to construction sites requires certification of general induction training specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work (ASCC 2007). | ||
